THE BELL FOUNDRY
During the recent excavations in the city centre of Trondheim the archaeologists at NIKU found a variety of exciting artifacts, among them a bell foundry form the 19th century. The time has come to reconstruct it.
And as you can see by the look in the eyes of our one and only Harald the Smith, the results were permissible to say the least! We wonder if his neighbours think the same way though..
GEAR FOR TREKKING
Hands on History will shared their experience about making and using equipment for Viking age Historical trekking. Visitors and participants what to make and how to use it, and get details about the processes.
Additionally, Rickard is known for his historically striking poses, so during the demonstrations it became evident that looking fabulous is in fact an essential part of trekking wild.

We learned all about interpreting food and food culture with culinary archaeologist Daniel Serra. Daniel shared his recent discoveries and host some exciting cooking experiments.

TOOLS AND WOODWORK
The crafters at Stiklastadir just finished another wooden medieval house using authentic period appropriate tools. It was an absolute pleasure to listen in as they shared their experiences. Visitors even had a go with an axe or two, resulting in the loss of - limbs! We count that as a major victory..
