The farm
Grønset Gard is located by the beautiful Vinjefjord in Trøndelag. The farm has previously belonged to both church and government aand is now run by the 7th generation Grønset.
This was such a beautiful and inspiering place to work with. The farm buildings are from the 1870’s and a few kilometers into the nearby mountain lies Grønsetsætra, the old summer farm.
The restoration
The farm, and especially the old barn has been restored by the owners over the last 6 years, and the place is now filled with activities. In addition to the B&B, there are concerts, meetings quiz, weddings and more at Grønset.
Grønset received funding from Kulturminnefondet for the barn restoration.

Concept developement
back to the 1920's
The farm has a rich and well documented history. Ther’e lots of photos and written records dating back a hundred years. Theres even written records of childhood memories from past generations. Based on this material and on close cooperation with the curtomer, we chose the 1920's as a modelling frame. Experience and interior design revolves around this theme.
As a result of this process, you'll not find the usual farm nostalgia when walking through the doors at Grønset. Instead, you'll be met with gold, feathers and velvet, glamour, 1920's inspired interior and a touch of Broadway!
